If you want to get the most bang for your buck when listing, there are three key steps you should take:
1. Spruce up your curb appeal. The exterior of your home generally serves as a buyer’s first impression, so make sure yours leaves a good one. Trimming your trees and shrubbery, mowing your lawn, and adding fresh mulch can go a long way. It’s also a good idea to give your home a fresh coat of paint before you list.

2. Upgrade your bathrooms. Bathrooms offer some of the highest returns of any home upgrade. Based on data from Zillow, a mid-grade bathroom upgrade usually brings $1.70 for every $1 spent. Interestingly enough, upscale bathroom remodels only brought $0.87 for every $1 spent.
3. Install new windows. Not only do new windows look great, but they also improve your home’s energy efficiency. If your windows are over 10 years old, this is especially important.
Of course, there are many other ways to improve a home. Our team would be happy to visit yours and conduct a free, no-obligation evaluation of your property to determine what upgrades would bring you the best return when you sell.
